NDT Personnel are excited to be recruiting for an established NDT capital equipment manufacturer located in South Yorkshire. Our client is a renowned name within its sector, specialising in the manufacture of equipment associated with Ultrasonic, Magnetic Particle and Dye Penetrant techniques, with diverse market presence in many sectors, including Aerospace, Rail and Oil & Gas.
The role is for an experienced Calibration Engineer to work in a UKAS accredited calibration laboratory. You will be working as part of a small team to calibrate and test NDT products, including gauges, light meters, gauss meters etc.
·A background in NDT equipment would be advantageous but not essential.
·Experience of instrumentation calibration working to documented written procedures.
·Knowledge of IT systems, particularly MS Office applications.
·Knowledge of electrical skills/qualifications an advantage
·Effective communication and organisational skills
·A team player with the ability to work independently and able to work to tight deadlines under pressure, whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
·Willingness to travel within the UK and abroad as dictated by the business need
·A driving licence is essential as some customer based calibrations will be required from time-to-time
The role attracts a salary band of between £20k-£24k depending on the experience the right individual can bring to this opportunity. Our client is happy to offer training if the person has a competent set of calibration skills that are transferable to this position.
Due to the location of the business, applications are encouraged from those located up to a maximum of an hour’s commute from Sheffield.
